Since the opening of our store in 1958, we have been in contact with tourists and tourist companies from all over Japan who visit Baiinji Temple, the family temple of Jirocho Shimizu.

From 2008, we were entrusted by Baiin Zen Temple with receiving general and group visitors and running a shop on the temple grounds, but due to various circumstances this has been suspended since after the May holidays of 2024. However, group visits are still possible if you reserve by phone with Komatsuen (054-352-0256) in advance. General visitors, please contact Baiin Zen Temple (054-352-0995) directly.

When you visit Baiin Zen Temple, please enjoy tasting and shopping for Shizuoka tea at our store. Please use the bus-only parking lot next to the north side of our store (space for 3 large and 4 medium-sized buses). Groups who book in advance can, on request, also enjoy events such as all-you-can-stuff Shizuoka tea and tea candy grabbing.
Except during busy seasons, we are basically closed on Sundays, but we can accommodate you if you call to make a reservation in advance. (All-you-can-stuff Shizuoka tea and tea candy grabbing are not usually available, so please contact us in advance if you would like them.)

Besides Baiinji Temple, our store is conveniently located near “Jirocho’s Birthplace” (5-minute walk) and “Suehiro, Jirocho’s boat inn” (10-minute walk), and the famous sightseeing spots “Shimizu Port,” “Miho no Matsubara,” “Nihondaira,” and “Kunozan Toshogu” are all within 20 minutes by car.
